Guidelines for PM Surya Ghar : Muft Bijli Yojana

This section provides official rules and regulations related to the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana. It includes government orders, acts, and regulatory guidelines issued by MNRE and Rajasthan DISCOMs to ensure smooth implementation of rooftop solar projects across the state.

Inverter Capacity up to Sanctioned Load

Consumers may install a solar inverter up to their sanctioned connected load, even if the solar PV system installed is of lower capacity. If the exact inverter rating equal to PV capacity is unavailable, consumers may install the next lower available inverter, up to 20% lower than the PV capacity. Order Link

No Separate application for Load Extension under PMSGY

If the applied SPV plant capacity exceeds the sanctioned load, a separate application for load extension will not be required. The solar application itself will be treated as a load extension request. Order Link

Rs. 2.71/Unit payment to domestic consumers

Rs. 2.71/ KWh, this is applicable in case of domestic category consumers having existing Net Metering connection governed as per RERC(Net Metering) Regulation' 2015 and subsequent amendment thereof.

Application Fee & Net Metering Agreement Waiver

The application fee, security deposit, and meter testing charges have been waived, and the requirement of a connection agreement for net metering has also been removed, making the installation process simpler and hassle-free.

Permanent connection to Under Construction House

The permanent domestic connection on the premises under construction for self- house by obtaining self-certification of bonafide use of electricity for domestic purpose only from the applicant.
