How to get Subsidy for Rooftop Solar Project in Rajasthan

The National Rooftop Solar Portal is a platform launched by the Government of India to promote the installation of solar rooftop systems in the country. Here are the steps to follow to get a subsidy for a residential solar rooftop plant or solar panel subsidy through the National Rooftop Solar Portal:

  1. Register: Register on the National Rooftop Solar Portal by creating an account with your email ID and password.

  2. Submit details: Submit the details of your rooftop, including its size and capacity, and your energy requirements.

  3. Find an empanelled vendor: The National Rooftop Solar Portal has a list of empanelled vendors who have been approved by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) for installing solar rooftop systems. Choose a vendor from this list and request a quote for the installation of the solar rooftop system.

  4. Apply for subsidy: Apply for the subsidy by filling out the online application form available on the National Rooftop Solar Portal. You will need to provide details such as your name, address, Aadhaar card number, and bank account information, as well as details of the solar rooftop system you wish to install.

  5. Verification: After submitting the application, it will be verified by the government agency. They may ask for additional information or documentation to verify your eligibility for the subsidy.

  6. Installation: Once your application is approved, you can proceed with the installation of the solar rooftop system by the empanelled vendor.

  7. Inspection: After installation, the solar rooftop system will be inspected by the government agency to ensure that it meets the required standards.

  8. Subsidy disbursement: After inspection, the subsidy amount will be disbursed to your bank account.

It is important to note that the subsidy amount and eligibility criteria may vary depending on the location and the government agency offering the subsidy. Therefore, it is advisable to check the latest guidelines and eligibility criteria on the National Rooftop Solar Portal or the MNRE website before applying for the subsidy.
