•Import Duty on Solar Inverters Raised to 20% from 5% and on Solar Lanterns Raised to 15% from 5%

This 14% increase in duty will lead to at least 10-12% increase in cost of imported Inverters, which will lead to overall increase in project by 0.3-0.5/Wp at least.

This seems to be illogical that duty is imposed to support the domestic manufacturing since there are not so many manufacturers India to cater the demand also,if quality and capacity is considered, neither the Indian manufacturers have the Inverters for required capacity neither of the desired quality. Rather than imposition of duty and restricting the users to buy the Indian product only, which does not give the value he is paying for, Govt should work on manufacturing capability & Quality !!!!

•Inputs, Parts and Sub-parts [other than PCBA and Li-ion Cell] for manufacture of Lithium-ion battery and battery pack [w.e.f. 01.04.2021] import customs duty increased from zero to 2.5%.

•National Hydrogen Mission will be launched in 2021-22 for generating Hydrogen from green power sources.

•Additional Capital Infusion of Rs.1000 Cr to SECI and Rs.1500 Crores to IREDA
