The Net-Metering capacity restrictions and applicability of Gross Metering depends up on the prevailing net metering regulations for respective states or any new order/amendment issued by respective State Electricity Regulatory commission.
Even after new amendment brought by the Ministry of Power under the Electricity Amendment Rule 2020 which allows net metering for solar projects having loads upto 10kw. The applicability is totally depends up on the order by respective electricity regulatory commission.
In case of RAJASTHAN, RERC released a draft RERC ( Grid Interactive Distributed Renewable Energy system) Regulation, 2020, which says net Metering will not be applicable for commercial & Industrial consumers after 31.03.2021.
But since, that was just a draft and RERC is yet to release the final notification for which hearing already conducted and they are waiting for any amendment from MoP.
NET METERING IS APPLICABLE UP TO 1MW OF ROOFTOP SPV PROJECTS AS PER NET-METERING REGULATION 2015 TILL ANY FINAL NOTIFICATION BY RERC.
Ministry of Power is reviwingt the clause of applicability of net metering up to 10 KW only and Gross metering above 10 KW, we are expecting some favorable amendment i.e either extension of time up to 31.03.2022 for applicability of the clause or enhancement of capacity up to 200 KW.
