1. Introduction: Why Now Is the Best Time to Go Solar in Rajasthan

Rajasthan, known for its abundant sunshine, is ideally positioned for rooftop solar adoption. Through the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, eligible households can benefit from generous central subsidies—supplemented by additional state-level support—while also earning from surplus power generation.

2. What the Scheme Covers

  • Central Subsidy (CFA) applies up to a 3 kW rooftop solar capacity:

    • 1 kW: ₹30,000

    • 2 kW: ₹60,000

    • 3 kW (max): ₹78,000

  • State Subsidy in Rajasthan:Beneficiaries of the previous Mukhyamantri Nishulk Bijli Yojana are eligible for ₹17,000 extra. In some cases, total benefits can reach ₹95,000 for those who combine both central and state support.

3. Who Can Apply?

  • Must be an Indian citizen.

  • Must own a house with a roof suitable for solar installation.

  • Must have a valid electricity connection.

  • Must not have availed any other solar subsidy earlier.

4. Step-by-Step Guide to Avail the Subsidy
